Auditions are now open for The 2027 Lawyer Show!
A beloved fixture in our community, The Lawyer Show returns for its 24th production, showcasing the finest acting and musical talents of Vancouver’s legal community. Under the guidance of professional directors and designers, selected participants will embark on an extraordinary creative journey, culminating in five unforgettable performances from May 26–29, 2027, on the stunning Newmont Stage at the BMO Theatre Centre in Olympic Village. Ticket sales, program ads, and sponsorship opportunities will be available soon.
Proceeds from this signature fundraising event support Touchstone Theatre Society, a not-for-profit professional theatre company dedicated to producing and presenting bold, contemporary works from Canada/Turtle Island. Touchstone shines a spotlight on stories that explore who we are, where we are, and where we’re heading as a nation of nations.

SYNOPSIS
Set in Damon Runyon’s mythical New York City, Guys and Dolls is an oddball romantic comedy. Gambler, Nathan Detroit, tries to find the cash to set up the biggest craps game in town while the authorities breathe down his neck; meanwhile, his girlfriend and nightclub performer, Adelaide, laments that they’ve been engaged for fourteen years. Nathan turns to fellow gambler, Sky Masterson, for the dough, and Sky ends up chasing the straight-laced missionary, Sarah Brown, as a result. Guys and Dolls takes us from the heart of Times Square to the cafes of Havana, Cuba, and even into the sewers of New York City, but eventually everyone ends up right where they belong.

Rehearsals will take place TUESDAY & THURSDAY NIGHTS, as well as SUNDAY EVENINGS starting March 9, 2027.
Tech and Dress Rehearsal, as well as the production run will take place from MAY 24-29, 2027 at the BMO Theatre.

FUNDRAISING COMMITMENT
The Lawyer Show is a critical fundraising event for Touchstone theatre. As such, we ask that participants be prepared to sell at least 15 tickets and contribute towards the Silent Auction, as well as helping Touchstone staff to procure company sponsorships and programme ad sales.
