ABOUT THE LAWYER SHOW
Auditions for The Lawyer Show, a mainstay arts fundraiser in our community, are here! The 2025 Lawyer Show marks the 22nd production where the finest acting and musical talents of Vancouver’s legal community will take the stage. Professional directors and designers will guide the selected participants through a remarkable creative process culminating in five performances from May 28 – 31, 2025 on the beautiful Newmont Stage at the BMO Theatre Centre in Olympic Village. Each performance is followed by a reception in the splendid BMO Lobby. Ticket sales, program ads and sponsorship opportunities will soon be available.
This fundraising event and musical production is in support of Touchstone Theatre Society, a not-for-profit professional theatre company that produces and presents works from Canada/Turtle Island — giving first and future productions to voices that are daring, exciting, and current. Touchstone shares stories that reflect upon who we are, where we are, and where we’re going as a nation of nations.
THE PRODUCTION
The Lawyer Show 2025 – THE ADDAMS FAMILY MUSICAL
Book by MARSHALL BRICKMAN and RICK ELICE
Music and Lyrics by ANDREW LIPPA
Based on Characters Created by CHARLES ADDAMS
Directed by Lois Anderson
THE ADDAMS FAMILY, a comical feast that embraces the wackiness in every family, features an original story and it’s every father’s nightmare: Wednesday Addams, the ultimate princess of darkness, has grown up and fallen in love with a sweet, smart young man from a respectable family – a man her parents have never met. And if that wasn’t upsetting enough, Wednesday confides in her father and begs him not to tell her mother. Now, Gomez Addams must do something he’s never done before – keep a secret from his beloved wife, Morticia. Everything will change for the whole family on the fateful night they host a dinner for Wednesday’s “normal” boyfriend and his parents.
