This Giving Tuesday until Dec 31, we’re launching a fundraising campaign to support Flying Start—the only program in Canada dedicated to helping early-career playwrights bring their first professional productions to life.

Last year, Flying Start faced a critical funding cut that jeopardizes its future. But we believe challenges can become opportunities. With your help, we’re building a sustainable vision for this essential program. Flying Start is not just about launching plays—it’s about amplifying new voices, enriching the cultural fabric of Canada/Turtle Island, and ensuring the next generation of playwrights is heard.

This year’s fundraising campaign is inspired by the upcoming 25/26 Flying Start production, Jordyn Wood’s “Vascular Necrosis.”  This remarkable play reimagines the zombie-apocalypse genre as a lens to explore post-pandemic society and the complex experience of mental illness in a changed world. 

HOW TO GIVE
